Making cookies, asks for both granulated and brown sugar but i only have granulated?

should i just replace the amount asked for brown sugar with more granulated sugar?Making cookies, asks for both granulated and brown sugar but i only have granulated?
No you shouldn't, you need the brown sugar to give your cookies a softer, chewier texture. If you use all white sugar, your cookies will come out crispy and not soft and chewy - that is why sugar cookies are crunchy and not usually chewy. Either hold off on making your cookies until you have brown sugar or go and get some brown sugar for you cookie recipe and make them according to the directions.

Sugar, brown

1 cup, firmly =1 cup granular sugar or

1 cup granulated sugar plus 1/4 cup

molasses

if you use all white sugar your cookies will just have a lighter color
Just sub white sugar for the brown sugar, and still use the amount of white sugar the recipe calls for.
Make sugar cookies with almond or orange flavoring if you have it.
you got molasses...!!!

same thing - - - I guess one Tablespoon

taste the dough...

too much may act like a laxative...

I lke it..... use it in my oatmeal..
